FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. When is the best time to visit The Kruger Park?

The best time to visit the Kruger Park is from July to September, which is the back-end of winter and the dry season, which means less dense bush and better game viewing.

2. What are The Big Five Animals?

The Big Five are the lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard. These animals were named the Big Five because they were the most difficult to track and hunt.

3. What other animals can I expect to see?

The Kruger Park is home to more than 140 large mammal species, more than any reserve or park in Africa. Expect to see hippo, giraffe, hyena, cheetah, plains game, crocodile and hundreds of bird species.

4. How do game drives work?

Game drives at the four and five star lodges we recommend depart twice daily, early morning and late afternoon. These are typically in open top vehicles with a private guide(s).

5. What clothes should I pack for safari?

Earth tones work best in the bush. Think outdoor clothing from REI or similar and you'll blend perfectly with the guides, staff and surroundings.
